Spring Break Shenanigans

About a month ago (I know, I'm way behind) Travis had his spring break from school. We were so excited to have a week with Dad home. He's a busy guy, gone for most of the day. He works so hard for our family. We cherish all the moments we get to spend with him. We started off the week right by playing outside.

Then, on Tuesday, Travis' dad (PopPop) flew in to see us. It was his first time meeting Hailey. They hit it off right away!

 While PopPop was in town, we went to Oklahoma Joes, 

The mall,

and the Kansas City Zoo. (Prepare for a picture overload.)

Hailey has a thing for the elephants.

Does this gorilla staring at you creep you out like it does me? I think Planet of the Apes ruined me.

So these lions are all male. They were neutered before they developed their manes, so I guess they got jipped. No manly manes for these lions.

Find the rhino.

 There's a hippo in there somewhere. (No that's not a fat joke, Travis.)

The orangutan came all the way down from the top of its enclosure to see us.

"So where's this orangutan that you speak of?"

 

"There he is PopPop!"

This baby orangutan and the boy were playing toss back and forth with a stick. It was so cool!

 We were so glad PopPop could come see us. Hailey LOVED him and we enjoyed seeing him.

We were copying Hailey and pointing our fingers.

We had a great spring break!
