I Like to Ride my Bicycle!

Travis and I got ourselves some bikes! And we've been riding everywhere since. On Wednesday night, we were driving passed this used sporting goods store that my friend works at. We saw her car and decided to stop in and say hi. We were talking to her for a while and then noticed that there were a few bikes hanging up from the ceiling. Travis has been dreaming about getting a road bike for quite a while now. He was looking at the bikes and saw that they had a road bike for $150! There had to have been angels singing in the background. He was beyond excited. Although $150 seems like a pretty large sum of moola, most road bikes were over $600. So Travis tested the bike out and put it on hold. Thursday was his day off so he went back and bought the bike. And then bought me a bike from Walmart before I got home from work. So we both have bikes now! And I get to ride my bike to work instead of walking now. We've been riding to Walmart, friend's houses, and even the mall today. My legs are killing me. And I never knew my rumpus could hurt so bad. But it's way fun!!
Life is so lovely right now. I'm loving my job. Travis is developing a stronger tolerance for his job. haha. We're staying busy and looking forward to the fun things we have planned for the rest of the summer.

Bearded Boy

Travis wanted to feel like a manly man, so he decided to grow a beard. I don't know why this makes him feel more manly, but whatever. All I know is that it pokes me when I kiss him. haha. Luckily he got a new bus route with the Salt Lake Express where he is required to be clean shaven. So he shaved it off last night. He didn't look half bad as a manly man, so I wanted to share the pictures with you.
Travis's new route he's been assigned to is driving a tour bus through Yellowstone. He's really excited and thinks it's way better than driving to Salt Lake. So I'm happy for him.

Shhhhhh... It's a secret.

Travis and I made up a secret handshake today for our family night activity. It actually took a long time to come up with things that we agreed on. haha. Enjoy. =)

Hey! Harry Potter

Our friend, Brian, had extra tickets for the midnight premier of Harry Potter 7 Part 2. Travis and I always wanted to go to it, but never bought tickets because we're not night people anymore. We're always in bed by 10. So we figured it wasn't a good idea for us to go to it. But then Brian offered the tickets, and we took them! So after I spent a day at a waterpark with a bunch of kids for work (sad day, huh?), I came home and ate dinner, then headed straight to the theater. Chasing a bunch of kids around a waterpark can pretty much drain a person of their energy. So I was pretty tired. We got to the theater at around 6 and there was already a line wrapped around the building! Insanity. And tons of people were dressed up. I decided that midnight premiers are full of super obsessed people. Yup. Anyways, Brian was already waiting in line. He told us the theater said we could buy tickets to the movie showing before Harry Potter and watch that movie, then stay in the theater until Harry Potter started. It sounded great to us. The movie theater was showing pretty cool movies like Transformers and such. So we went up to the counter and found out that the movie in our theater was Monte Carlo (with Selena Gomez). hahahahaha. But we did it.
Our other buddy, Matt, showed up and we went into the theater and watched that movie. It was actually pretty decent. So it was only 9 pm when that movie ended. We still had 3 hours! So we hung out in the theater for the three hours. I was so stinkin tired.

There were people from a beauty school drawing "dark marks"-the tattoos the followers of Voldemort have. So we all got one.

The movie was pretty good. Travis loved it. But I think I was too tired to love it or hate it. I just sat through it. haha. But it was a fun adventure. Travis and I got home at around 3 in the morning. Then I woke up at 6:30 to get to work by 8:15. Crazy crazy crazy stuff. Twas a fun day.

Recent Happenings

So the Stadium of Fire in Provo was great! It was fun hanging with my lady friends and screaming at the top of my lungs. David Archuleta was awesome, Brad Paisley was amazing, and the fireworks were spectacular. I've never spent so long away from Travis (it was only a day... haha). But I survived. I love my girly friends. They are so great.
So the fireworks were amazing. I never knew fireworks could be so insanely awesome. I've never seen a bigger show than the firework show over the Columbia River in Richland. And I thought that was amazing, but it wasn't anything close to the ones at the Stadium of Fire. I was a little bit overwhelmed by all the color. haha. And there was music playing the whole time. The whole thing was just amazing.

Here's the grand finale:

Brad Paisley sang our wedding song (She's Everything). I admit that I started crying. But it wasn't cause I was sad, I was so happy! I was just thinking about how lucky I am to have Travis in my life. I think my friends thought I was crazy. But it was totally amazing having Brad Paisley sing your wedding song live. So that was a good day.

The Stadium of Fire was on Saturday. Travis drove up to Salt Lake for work on Sunday. So I just caught a ride home with him. The AC in the bus didn't even work!! It was miserable. Travis isn't liking his job too much. This company has too many problems with their vans. It's not very professional. Travis is counting down the days until he's done. We decided neither of us are going to work during these next couple semesters. We got enough financial aid, so we'll survive. I can't believe how much BYU-Idaho gives to married couples in financial aid. It's such a blessing. So we'll both be done working at the end of August. I'm excited.

On Monday, Travis and I walked down to the river to watch the fireworks in Idaho Falls. We had hot dogs for dinner and ended up meeting up with some friends. It was fun watching the fireworks over the river.

Okay, last thing. Travis had Friday off of work. I convinced him to come to an outing with me and the kids I work with. My boss is so incredibly awesome, and she thought it was a great idea to bring Travis along. We went to a cave about 17 miles outside of town. We had 14 kids with us and Travis, me, and the two girls I work with. The kids loved Travis. There's a couple girls that have a crush on him. And the boys just love having a man around. We walked through the cave with the kids. And out of the 14 kids, only 1 cried. It was dark in there, but each kid had their own flashlight. Travis brought them glow stick necklaces. So they loved it. After we went through the cave, we went to a park. Travis played tag with the kids. It was so cute to watch. He was so great with the kids. I think he might be better at my job than me. hahaha.

But life is wonderful. We are so blessed.

It's Only A Day Away

When I first came up to BYU-Idaho Fall Semester 2009, I was terrified. I wasn't rooming with anyone that I knew beforehand and my family was far away. I met my roommate, Emily, and we clicked right away. We talked for hours and got to know each other. Then we met Ashley and Brielle, and the four of us were best friends right away! I love those girls!
Anyways, so these girls are amazing. And I get to spend tomorrow with them!! We're going to go to the Stadium of Fire and see David Archuleta and BRAD PAISLEY!!! I'm sooooo stoked!
