High Five for Five Months

Hailey turned five months old on the 8th of this month. Golly! She's getting so big. I failed to write a blog post when she turned four months, so there's a lot of updating to do. At her four month check up (where she got some more shots.. boohoo!) she weighed in at 11 pounds 9 ounces (5th percentile). Her height was 24 1/4 inches (39th percentile) and her head was in the 55th percentile. So she's a skinny little thang. But that isn't news to us.

We are very familiar with this:
Her pants fall down on a daily basis. Her little skinny self doesn't fit into anything.

Sooooo let me update you on this growing girl.

We got Hailey an exersaucer just before she turned 4 months old. It's our best purchase yet!

She is now rolling from back to tummy and tummy to back.
First roll onto tummy!

She's just starting to figure out that she can roll from her back to her tummy to her back, and back and forth. She's realizing that it can get her places. She's about to be mobile people!

We started her on baby food. She was so interested in what we were eating. We asked the pediatrician and she okayed us to start Hailey on veggies first. It's been fun!

Sweet Potatoes are the definite favorite.

But carrots are a close second.
We've been practicing to sit up (not me.. I know how-we're still talking about Hailey here). Lots of tumbles and falls and she's getting better. She can sit up for a long time now. Definitely not perfect, but getting better every day.

See that proud face?

We still need some practice.
She also has the best personality EVER! I'm convinced that she sings sometimes. Travis is constantly singing (in his high pitched "daddy voice"), so I think she copies that. It's pretty much just noise, but I think she's singing. She growls, talks everyone's ear off, and laughs. She doesn't stop talking. Like ever. She talks in the bath, while she's getting a diaper change, in her exersaucer, on her play mat, in her crib... you get the idea. I hardly ever never get to sit through more than 10 minutes of relief society because she talks louder than the teacher. But we love her spunky, loud personality. She's super fun and I love being home with her every day. She's growing so fast! It's nuts. She even sat in the shopping cart seat thing for the first time last week. Every day is growing and learning for her. It's exciting, but I want it to slow down at the same time. So there you go. I hope you enjoyed the update.
